What it does
Not a crawler. Google-Extended is a name you can use in robots.txt to say whether Google may use your pages to train Gemini and its other AI models. The pages themselves are fetched by Googlebot, so this entry never records visits. Blocking it does not affect Google Search.
How Forge AI Bot Log checks it
Visits are checked by reverse DNS against Google's domains.
Should you block it?
Block it if you do not want your pages training Google's models. Google Search is unaffected. Blocking Google-Extended takes one switch in Forge AI Bot Log's Access Control screen. The plugin adds the rule to your robots.txt for you.
